Almiron Ready for Comeback after Three Weeks Out

Newcastle United Midfielder Returns to Action

New Contract a Boost for Club and Player

Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron has vowed to return to the pitch in top form after being sidelined for three weeks with an injury.

The 30-year-old Paraguay international suffered a hamstring strain in the Magpies' 1-0 win over Fulham on February 10th. He has since missed three matches, including the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United.

However, Almiron has now returned to training and is expected to be available for selection when Newcastle face Manchester City on Sunday.

"I'm feeling good and I'm ready to come back," Almiron told the club's official website. "I've been working hard in rehab and I'm confident that I can get back to my best quickly."

Almiron's return is a timely boost for Newcastle, who have been without several key players in recent weeks. The Magpies are currently sixth in the Premier League table, just one point behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Almiron has been a key player for Newcastle since joining the club from Atlanta United in January 2019. He has scored 24 goals in 146 appearances for the Magpies.

In addition to his return from injury, Almiron has also signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Newcastle. The new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with Newcastle United," Almiron said. "I love the club, the fans, and the city. I'm determined to help the team achieve success in the coming years."
